Wednesday gratefulness

Cake for the bride and groom to cut.  So thankful that Teddy's oven works good!
Tools from the girls to complete this task this morning while...

the guys enjoy breakfast together at the Waffle House.  Sharing another fun southern excursion with Grampy.

Thankful on Tuesday

Turkey is defrosting!
Coffee and conversation!
Breakfast conversation...
a little bit of work... because vacation doesn't really mean much to Ted's present Belgium company...and my guy has a very strong work ethic.
Working on a project to help Teddy make his crawl space secure from critters.
When Liquid Plumber didn't get the job done, enter Dad and Grampy!  Dad unclogging the sink and Grampy shining it up.  A team effort bathed in lots of humor!
A drive through..."Where are we exactly?" to the Home Depot!
Taking care of garbage...a pyromaniac's dream world with no HOA restrictions!
Ashlynn and Grandma came and picked me up for a Walmart stop and treat making session.  Alisa was at work, so we did NOT have any fun.  Ha ha!  A little sourdough snack for lunch...MMM!  Thanks, Alisa, for baking!
Serious business was about to happen!
Oreo pucks for the wedding...
Catching up on laundry...
Grandma cleaning the microwave...
"Let me tell you how to make it easier!  Boil a cup of water and then let it sit...it will wipe right out!  Just be sure to use a microwave safe cup!"
Almost finished...
Brownie bites...
"Mom, I liked the snakes you put on the Oreo pucks!"  Thanks, Alisa!  I didn't think about grabbing my decorator bags...a ziploc with the corner cut off it is!
We found out that the pups attracted fleas from outside as they romped through the leaves and yard.  Upon further study...this is the time of the year they are the worst!  Who knew!?  Teddy's setting is beautiful but must be a good spot for the phenomenon of September through November.  One of the reasons for the Walmart run.  So...unplanned baths in Teddy's sink!

Fluffy, soft, clean pups with lots of zoomies and kisses for Grampy!
"Not the face...that is one thing I don't allow!"  as Chica nibbled on his ears.
Cuddles for Mom.
"Teddy's home!  Teddy's home!"  What a nice way to be welcomed home after a hard day!  The smell of chocolate chip cookies and smoked white chicken chili and puppy kisses...
and our family together!  What a blessing to sit and talk after a meal together!  Soaking in all the blessings that God has given!

Monday thanks

Errands to help our TN kids...building, cleaning, shopping...while Teddy and Alisa work...because Grampy and Grandma get in today!
A drive to see the area...Horse Mountain...
Countryside of Rogersville and Kingsport...
and a wonderful visit with dear friends!  "When are you moving to TN?"
Sweet kiddos who let us visit and eat good food at Macados in Kingsport.
The girls took care of Grampy and Grandma.  Alisa gave them a tour on the way from the airport.  Ashlynn made them supper and got them all settled.
Winding down after a big day of work and travel...
Catching up on life...
and soaking in the time we have together!

Our Sunday in the South

There was fog over the mountains this morning.  A beautiful way to start the morning...quiet conversation and coffee listening to worship music.

Cuddles with whomever will stay in the chair long enough to get comfy!
Our chauffeur and tour guide to and from church.
The service at Corryton Church was a blessing today!
So pretty!
Teddy's mountain on the left where his house is.
Working out in the beautiful afternoon...cleaning gutters and framing in a door to the crawl space.
Scoping out the yard...

After a trip to Home Depot and Aldi, Teddy prepared supper on the blackstone...chicken thighs.  Mom made rice to go on the side.

That boy can cook!
Resting
