Thankful thoughts
Thankful that I can share our classroom with friends who want to be teachers.
Thankful for rest with my puppies.
Thankful for beautiful spaces to share with my students.
Thankful for options that help me do my job...and still breathe!
Thankful for fall flowers.
Thankful for a treat from my sister and niece today...fresh from the apple orchard.
Thankful for guys who like when I make yummy treats for them.

Fall days are full days!
Our neighborhood has the most gorgeous maple trees!
I love all things fall...including fun school lessons using apples! We voted on our favorite apple and counted the seeds to see how many times the bee visited the apple blossom. Being a kindergarten teacher reminds me to daily stop and look at the details of little things!
I love this board in our preschool hallway! I am so thankful for my co-workers and the fact that we can be in school right now. I am reminded every day that it is a gift!
Yep...being a smart Alec as we drive to Il. I cannot believe how many vehicles we passed between our home and Chicago with one person in the vehicle DRIVING while WEARING a mask! The craziness of our culture these days causes me distress.Coffee with my dear friend early Saturday morning...was a balm to my heart! And she made a yummy apple crisp for our breakfast.
Driving through the cornfields was just pretty...
listening to a song "Still Blessed" and thinking back to all that God has done for us through the years.
Time with family and friends...
learning to shoot my new gun...with lots of helpers. These guys know their guns...and their constitutional right!
Little nieces and lots of love...

Puppy love for the college girls
These girls miss our big college girls! We all like hearing the updates of college life on the phone!
That second amendment is important!
My new gun...
and my trainer! We were covid compliant as we picked up my new gun. Ted was all about the business of the deal. I was all about the beauty of the day and the flower garden that was full of butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. Yep...such a girl...yet...I can shoot a big gun! Behind the rolled eyes and snide remarks, Ted is very impressed by this girl he gets to call his wife!

Coming and going and going and coming
Timing is everything! We are seeing one of the major north south roads in our city get new asphalt...annnd it goes right by school. I sat and waited to get out two days in a row...but they finished the work in four days! I am still amazed at the speed of that project! Hopefully...it will last for awhile.
Thursday afternoon coffee and ball playing...
Chilly Saturday morning start...59 degrees at 7:45am
Senior moms...again!
Warriors Classic Tournament...soccer and volleyball took first place. It was a lovely day spent outside!
Ted and I had a hot date to a gun store looking for the ever elusive ammo right now. This mural greeted us as we walked in...and stopped me in my tracks. I get shivers every time I think of the founding men who led our country and I am thankful!
Celebrating a new season in K5 means Mrs. T's sugar cookies for a party!
Happy first day of fall...some leaves are just beginning to change.
A new collar that will help us when we leave our invisible fenced yard. Velle was not sure about how it was all going to work! She was confused for the first few minutes, but she is getting it!
Lots of love and some patience....and there will be new found freedom!
Enjoying our evening meals on the deck...
and this kindergartener is finding bed early these days!
I love my 15 little friends. They are learning our k5 ways and enjoying all the fun things as we do each day. Little lives to touch for Jesus! Makes my heart flip flop when I see the need in my class.
Wednesdays...I get a break! And I love listening/watching for a few minutes to see what they are learning.
We are counting all sorts of things these days! And as we did that today...I counted 12 days that God has given us in person learning time...and He continues to protect us as individuals and as a school. I am doing my best to make each day count and do as much as we can to make it fun!
And on my way home today...I drove down another street in our neighborhood to see the maple trees...
