A week ago, our Thursday started out with a trip to Grandma Great's for Teddy and Grandma and a plea for Mommy to buy a
cowboy hat..."pleeease!" It was a reasonable request since the dollar store always has hats. Praise the Lord, I got there before any other mother was able to scoop up the last one in the store!
I am not sure if it was the
cowboy "get-up" he put on or the result of eating a whole carmel apple...but this "dude" was bouncing around...and he was not on a bronco!
After supper, he and Daddy took a walk...dressed as pictured...with a flashlight...and had themselves a man-to-man talk. "Son, Mom says you have been a hyper-boy today...why are you being so crazy?"
"Dad, when I dress up like a cowboy...I have to be!"
The fast walk and talk turned to a saunter and occassional remark...this
cowpoke, finally, ran out of steam!
Thanks, honey, for your wisdom in taking
"our little buckaroo" out for some much needed Daddy time...and fresh air! It was either that or a roping contest...because the sun was settin and it was time to retire at this here corral...and mama was not ok!
Today...a week later...the cowboy has lost interest in his hat and is sitting peacefully at the computer! I am waiting for the next little visitor and the mischief that will accompany him!
