We are looking back again...to look forward. It is time once again to collect pictures for senior stuff for the end of the year. Our hearts are full and our eyes teary as we look through the memories!

Friday fun
K5 had our Taste Around the World day to wrap up our children of the world unit. Such generous parents and courageous kinders! One little boy rubbed his tummy and said, "I have always had a six pack, but after today, I have a twelve pack!" These kiddos make me laugh!!!
Ted always wonders why it takes me so long to leave school each day. This...this is why. I go from thing to thing to thing as I teach...because if I pause too long...I lose control of the class and it takes too long to take it back! We have busy days from 8:30-12:00 each day...and it is tiring. I am missing my live-in teacher's aide who would help me not be overwhelmed with paperwork and projects! 15 kinders...9 boys and 6 girls...ane we have some strong personalities who can take over with a whisper. It can be very draining at times. We are gearing up for standardized testing next week and I am starting to twitch just thinking about how it has to be done and wondering if they can handle it all. I expect tears from at least 6 or 7 friends...not counting mine. Ha ha
Friday nights at home...are just wonderful for cuddles and quiet! The puppies tell us when to stop working and give attention...and he won't admit it out loud...but he likes it! Conversations across the neighborhood
Some days...we talk by texting and Marco Polo videos. Life gets busy and I don't want to miss opportunities to be there for friends and family. I am thankful for technology.
The yucky feelings come and go...some days...you just don't want to pretend all is well...because it isn't! It is hard and messy and teary! BUT GOD...He is working in the details and we are thankful! Waiting this next week for some specific updates and plans.

Special delivery!!!! I took some tasty temptations over to Mari on Monday after the girls left. We are trying to find some things for her week of nothing really tasting very good.
I saved another treat for St. Patrick's Day too!Monday, March 15, 2021
A whirlwind of a weekend!
The girls came home!!! And added bonus...they got to go back to college this year! Last year, Ashlynn came home for her spring break weekend and had to stay for the rest of the semester. So even though I get sad when they leave, I am thankful that they get to go back and finish the month and a half of college!
They did a lot of sleeping and cuddling with the puppies. Alisa helped me grocery shop. We had yummy food and drinks.
We went out on a girls shopping outing and they fixed my phone...closed all the apps that I hadn't closed from the morning...and teased me about it. Ashlynn trimmed my hair. Alisa introduced me to her eyebrow girl.
And we cheered up Auntie Mari's day with extra hugs!
My favorite times...are spent around the table at meals...with all five chairs filled! We eat. We talk. Dad talks. We laugh. We talk some more.
And then...POOF...it is time to leave again. My heart flip flops and I wonder...did we talk enough? did we laugh enough? did they get everything they needed? how are they this old? It is now eleven years since our stay at American Children's Hospital with Alisa! God has been so good. He has protected and guided these two gifts every step of the way.
It makes it worse when the puppies stand there and watch till the car is out of sight! Yep...I like the anticipation of their arrival more than their departure! The countdown is on to graduation! Wow!

Spring Break Week
My first taste of Dairy Twist of the season.
We drove to a place that was recommended to us. Wow...the portions were huge!
Pretty sunset picture...that did not do it justice!
Fresh lemon blueberry scones!
Treats for friends...
Brunch and coffee with friends
Making a purchase...at the Dollar Tree...based fully on angry emotion and desire to keep the classic alive!
Taking time to send snail mail...
