Christmas Eve 2020

Time to sit and relax for a little bit...
Who wrapped which presents?
Head griller...superviser
Assistant griller...chief entertainer
Grilled steak, potatoes, salad, and fresh crescent rolls for dinner!

A little fun for some little girls in our family celebrating in Texas...Santa and his Buddy elf on their snow machines...headed south.

"Waiting...for something...but we don't know what!  Why is everyone sitting here looking at the tree?"
"Presents!"
"Wow! Adult presents!"

"Even though the wrapping is crazy...it doesn't mean I don't care!"  Yep...I was that Mom...we ran out of wrapping paper and I didn't want to go to the store on Christmas Eve day to buy anymore!  We need to buy more tape now...and maybe stock back up on wrapping paper.

These big kiddos sure make life interesting!  We laughed and just enjoyed our time around the living room tonight!

Hot chocolate board for dessert tonight
So thankful for a cozy place to gather together as a family.  Jesus came that we might have life...free from the bondage of sin.  He has given that free gift to each of us, and because of that, we have comfort and joy in a world that is full of turmoil and pain.  We are so thankful for God's saving grace, His never-ending mercy, and His abundant love!
Merry Christmas to all our friends and family!  May you know God's grace, mercy, and love during this season and all the year through!

The 12 Days of Christmas 2020

As I have been thinking back over the years and looking through pictures, I laughed at the yearly version of the 12 days of Christmas I did each year.  I started thinking if I could do a list this year...Yep!

On the first day of Christmas...my true love...looks like Santa Claus!

On the the 2nd day of Christmas...two new cuddly blankets from my students that I have to share!
On the 3rd day of Christmas...big kids who make seasons fun!

On the 4th day of Christmas...four sleighs in the driveway to make shopping easy!

On the 5th day of Christmas...lots of favorite family recipes!

On the 6th day of Christmas...six laughing cousins!

On the 7th day of Christmas...another trip to the grocery store!

On the 8th day of Christmas...eight Christmas trees in our house...and three out!

On the 9th day of Christmas...lots of twinkling and blinking lights inside and out!

On the 10th day of Christmas...no alarms needed!

On the 11th day of Christmas...phone calls off and on!

On the 12th day of Christmas...Christmas presents need wrapping!

Thankful for our children who fill our home with laughter and love...

while they are home!  Our house gets very big and empty when these three chair-fillers are not all home!  We are enjoying the days together...counting our blessings.
