Crafting and Coffee and Conversation

A yummy treat to go with our coffee and crafting projects and sister chats.  I needed our time together and I am thankful Mari was free!  Time spent with other people is sweet to the soul.  After some heavy days of ministering, my cup was filled back up with our time together.
The dogs wanted to sit on our laps, but that wasn't working well.  Thankfully, they found a comfy spot close by.
Homemade granola and fresh fruit has been a nice treat these days too!
I spent more time during the week to build up my card stash.  Watercoloring has been a fun creative outlet.
Can you see the strong desire for spring's arrival?
Digging through a bin, I found some material! Two yards is enough for two pillowcases! In all the memories right now, fifteen years ago reminds us of all the people who touched our lives in various ways as we weathered the storm with Alisa at the University of Wisconsin Children's Hospital.  So in honor of that time, I will make the pillowcases to send to Alisa who has a stash to share with the TN Children's Hospital.  It was those special touches that reminded us that God meets every need we have every day in every way.
God is using those lessons, right now, as we minister to friends who are walking the cancer path in the shoes of Mom/Wife.  We pray for God's wisdom and strength for each day and decision.  We don't know the Master's plan, but we know the Master has a plan in all of this!

On the first day of Christmas vacation...

my true love is still working hard in Georgia and I stayed in bed for a very long time!  With the sun shining brightly, it is going to be hard to be lazy today!  I feel myself crashing, but I'm thinking it would be wise to go out today and finish some shopping.  But then I sit down and immediately have a lap dog...and it would require getting dressed in real clothes...the struggle is real to hit the off button!

On the thirty-first of December...

Time with Grampy and Grammy...playing Farkle and eating a yummy grilled lunch with home-made buns using my new mixer.
Relaxation in preparation for ringing in the New Year!
 Playing more Farkel...eating snacks...movies...games...singing...challenge...fellowship...
and we made it to midnight!  Happy 2015!

On the thirtieth of December...

Visiting with Dad and enjoying some laughter!
Bonefish Grille with the grown-ups!  And we almost picked up the plates and licked every bit of goodness of the Bang-bang Shrimp appetizers...but we didn't!

 Coffee and conversation...refreshing!
Thankful for another chance to spend time with Dad and Mom!  God has been good to give health and safety through another year!

On the twenty-ninth of December...

making special treats for another Christmas gathering!

 Fondue...chicken and steak!  Yum!!

Grammy's special bags full of laughter!
Grammy's fun games with special prizes!

Trying out the new sling shots!
Lollie safe inside...away from the shooters!

 Sweet time with our family!

On the twenty-eighth of December...

 Headed home...
Chevy was glad to be in his familiar territory!
Time to enjoy a cup of coffee before evening service.

On the twenty-seventh of December...

 A beautiful wedding to celebrate...

A lovely reception...yummy cupcakes and a hot chocolate bar...a perfect winter wedding.
