Busy Boy

Teddy is a busy little man these days! Catching bears(fish), firefighting, working at the shop, trying make-up, and other mischievous acts. His main goal in life right now is to pester his sisters...I am trying to decide if I should always stop him or let him enjoy it...soon they will leave him all alone for 3 1/2 hours every day. My fear is that he will turn his torture toward his mother! And I have great hopes of getting much accomplished in those three short hours till K5 is over! I have great expectations...but who can resist this little man's charms...he still lets me kiss on him and he still likes to cuddle after rest time...we will continue to track his escapades.

Passing Grades at the Dentist!

No cavities for either girl and each bravely marched back to have all the "dental stuff" done! Thank goodness...I still hate going to the dentist and have tried to keep all that to myself and put on a brave front! It makes no sense...all the orthodontic work and such...but it was all the prep work that has forever given me a lack of genuine appreciation for the field! Now the state tells you when you have to take your kids...otherwise, our children might have had to wait till they could drive themselves! Ashlynn went first...last week and this week...was Alisa's turn.
The gals that cared for the girls did a great job and both came skipping out with a fistful of stickers and a new toothbrush...which work very well! Ashlynn was prepping Alisa for her visit today and told her that "they take your teeth out to look at them". For crying out loud...why do children have to tease like that? The look on Alisa's face went from excitement to bewilderment to a flash of fear...then she argued the point most fiercely...of course, she won because Mommy spoke up for her. Nice way to enter the parking lot of the dentist!

Waking Aunt Sara!

We love our Aunt Sara...and this is how we show it...by jumping into bed with her as early as possible at the lakehouse! Aunt Sara always has fun things up her sleeve for us...special errands and little trips, coloring, books, videos, treats, hairdos, manicures, walks, games...all mixed with lots of hugs and kisses and a splash of Pepsi! Thanks to Aunt Sara...we don't mind when Mommy and Daddy go on dates...because we know we will have more funner! xoxoxoxo Have a good day, Aunt Sara! We love you! xoxoxoxo

Playing with Daddy at the park!

Just to say Hi!

I just wanted to let you know that I do get and read all comments...I just don't take the time to respond to each one individually for three specific reasons: ASHLYNN, ALISA, AND TEDDY!
Even though we are all a year older and know the house rules...strange things happen when mom is on the puter!
So, I say thank you and happy reading! We are enjoying our summer and all the activities that go with the season...the freckles too!

Trip to the Henry Villa Zoo!

Daddy...thank you for working so hard and taking care of us!

It has been so hot and humid this week and we wanted to tell our daddy that we appreciate his hard work when it is so nasty hot at the shop! We love you, "sweetums"! (our newest term of endearment) Thank you for taking good care of us! One way we can say thank you is to pick up the house so you can find your way to your chair...so you can relax and enjoy the coolness!
We love you and hope you have a wonderful day! xoxoxoxo

Rescues Heroes at Vacation Bible School

Uncle James is a volunteer fireman and he and his crew came with the firetruck!!!
Grades 1-3 (Ashlynn's group) has been the biggest group all week! On their way to craft time here.
Game time with Mr. Jim and the 4-5 year olds was fun to watch!!! We served snacks outside and had the pleasure of watching each group during the games and special visits...firemen, policeman (forgot the camera that time), and tonight...the rescuer of souls...our pastor and his vehicle was the church bus...the kids were just as excited to get on the bus as the police car and firetruck!
Don't be afraid of the firemen and don't hide from us if we come to your house to help you!!! Each child got a fire hat and sticker!
I am glad that tomorrow is the last night! The biggest but the last! It has been so hot...I am sitting now in the basement just to cool off after running back and forth for snack time. We had a melt down one night...but we have recovered and hope to finish the week in fine fashion...albeit a little droopy and wilted!

Hey, Mari...does this remind you of anyone?

Riding in Papa's suburban on the way back to the lakehouse from the zoo...they did anything and everything to amuse and annoy each other and everyone else!
