So many different things that prompt thankfulness!

Finally taking time to tackle a project that I have been thinking about for a couple years...a Christmas tree skirt using Papa's ties.  Papa loved when we all gathered together for Christmas!  Still have many ties to use and I have more ideas.
Love the art projects this time of the year!  This is a favorite in K5!
Talking to Mom and seeing how much poinsettia plants love Florida weather!  Wow!
Teddy doing routine car maintenance...knowing Dad is there is offer a helping hand or advice.
You know it is Thanksgiving week when Mom makes Chex mix!  It is a holiday must have, right!?

Smoking a hunk of beef!  Oh was it good!  And time together is even better with a hot cup of coffee!
Another fun art project with my kinder as a keepsake for their parents.
My big boy and his friend...doing what they enjoy!

Wow!  I was ready for a break for Thanksgiving!  I laughed at the sight of this when our day was done...how most teachers feel after a busy day of learning!
The finished tree skirt...and I love it!
Next up...loading the van to head to TN!  Alisa and I drove down with the dogs to spend Thanksgiving with Ashlynn and Ted.  Teddy stayed in Michigan.  I realized that each year...holiday dynamics will continue to change...and that is ok!  I'm so thankful for the strength and health of our family and the opportunities that God brings to go and do or just stay.  Once again, I am reminded that we live in freedom because of those who fought for those rights to live, work, and worship as we so choose!  I am also thankful for the sovereign hand of God in our lives working His good purpose in our life to bring Himself glory!

First snowfall of the year!

Loving time with my best friend!

                                                         Cuddling during the football game!

Friends visiting our backyard...they seem to like our grass flavor!

Keeping busy while fighting the germs

Teddy and I did some cleaning and sorting out.  He did his and I did mine adding to a bag from Alisa...Teddy won with three and a half bags and one bag of garbage.
Banana bread always makes the house smell good!
Puppy chow for my guy who has been taking good care of his momma!
The germs that have been coughed out, sneezed out, spit out, and all other such outings finally found a way to penetrate my defenses..inspite of my regimen!  I started crashing out on Friday and went down Saturday into Sunday.  Lots of liquids and rest and cuddles...
We are now in the color stage of thanksgiving!  When I think of thanksgiving time...these are the colors I associate with it!
Finding lots of activities to keep keep my little friends challenged and busy...helps on the days that I feel bad enough to be off my game but not bad enough to put in the extra work to call in a sub!  This week...trying to get acquainted better with the teen family!
Spoiled with Chinese food for supper...pretty sure there are some sort of healing properties in hot and sour soup!

Thanksgiving project is underway!
Strolled down memory lane tonight by cutting apples for supper and adding cinnamon sugar!  Yum! Why do I not do this more often?!
Tomorrow night...I get to pick up my love at the airport!  Hopefully, Ted will recognize me because I basically have no voice...which may be nice for him!  We will get him for ten glorious days before he heads south again to continue Operation Stabilization!  Uff da!

Proverbs 13:19

Ashlynn called tonight. "Mom, I'm finished with my training!"  And I thought of the verse, "The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul..." Proverbs 13:19.   So proud of this girlie!  She starts her permanent place at Ross & Co in Powell on Saturday.  God has been good to protect and provide and we are thankful!
MMM...a sweet treat and pretty sunset to the end of the day.  Miles between all of us right now...yet God sends beautiful reminders that He has it all under control...each and every part!

November days

A leaky skylight led to a needed roof job!
How may people does it take to work on a roof?
Lots!  There were between 12-14!  They were down within four hours...set up, tear off, repair, re-roof, and clean-up!

Enjoying the colors of the season!
Pictures of the girls enjoying time together in Tennessee!
Stuck in the DD line...rats!  Long line but couldn't get out due to supply truck making a delivery and blocking driveway...so I had to stay and wait...watching the minutes tick by toward and then past when I should have been at school...it was worth the wait!  Good thing DD is close to school!
Errands and loving the fall sky and vivid colors when the sun peaked out!

When my sweet friend recommends a good book...for children...with animals...I order it right away!
Beautiful pictures...even in black and white!

Another day...another area of the city...more clouds and colors!
Puppy snuggles in the morning...wish I could stay!
Cute turkey with my students' thankful thoughts!  Love their own words!
