Tennessee or Bust 2024

Wow!  That is alot of stuff to go into the van...will it fit?
Yep, it all fit with room to spare!  The dogs had their calming pills.  The humans have their cups.  Everything is checked and double-checked.
Tennessee...here we come!  ETA is 3:00pm with no traffic or stops.

All is calm as we listened to music and a variety of podcasts.  I crocheted almost the entire trip.
We stopped for gas and a potty stop and waited for a bite to eat for another hour and 45 minutes.

We had to stop for a Buc-ee sandwich and nice potty stop for all the riders.  The sign made me laugh!

OH! So! Good!
The colors of Thanksgiving to me!  The sight reminds me of the storybook Cranberry Thanksgiving.
We shared a chocolate peanut butter treat!
As we came into Rocky Top...the sun and blue sky started showing their presence!

We arrived at Teddy's at 4:00pm...easily recognized by the blue flag!
The maneuvering of the driveway demanded some tutoring by the resident pro!

Oh...it is so nice to be out and about!  Food and water and happy "Hellos".
A gorgeous sunset...
Catching up on all the things...

The rest of our party brought supper and smiles.
Alisa made yummy homemade chicken and dumplings.  Perfect comfort food after a long day of travel, work, shopping, planning, and a chilly fall evening.
Ready to crash in the comfort of Teddy's home.

Taking an opportunity...

a coffee stop turned into a prompting to show kindness and gratitude that I followed.
A rainy fall Michigan day is perfect for napping!
And perfect for baking!  Tried to do something that didn't quite work...but still edible!

Whoops...neglected to put the umbrella and chairs away!

Finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!

This is how I leave the house most days...in paint/work clothes freshly out of the wash.  Taking advantage of the nice days to get the outside cleaned up .

WOW!  Cleaning makes such a difference!  How hard is it?  I sprayed with the bleach cleaner and let sit and wiped it down!  I may just start teaching a cleaning class!  There is NEVER A REASON TO LIVE IN FILTH...EVER.
Uh...wrong place to dispose of kitty litter!  Especially when you live in a place that has a no-pet policy!
Health and safety tips from the neighborhood...THIS is not an acceptable way or place to dispose of such things...FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!  Yes, I said this out loud while I was raking up all the nasty garbage and leaves.
You need a cover replaced?  I am your gal!
Wow!  Fresh paint, new blinds, and freshly sanded floors.
This is a cute little brick house that just needed to be loved and cleaned.
The sky on our way home...reminds me of Heaven every time!
Finally...all the leaves and garbage pile cleaned up off the side of the house and driveway.
My guy showed up after his normal work hours to work some more.
We are sanding the edges to prepare for sealing. The floors look nice, and I like the character of the varied colors. For time's sake, we are choosing not to stain them and just sealing them with polyurethane.

Pushing up our sleeves to get to the finish line!
