I was hopeful as I pulled off some medium/small sized cobs to bring to the kitchen...and then immediately regretted that decision as little black bugs began to crawl all over the counter!
Sooooo sad! Every cob was infested with these little guys and parts were starting to rot.
There were well developed parts and then some not so good parts. I am not sure what can be done for next year...I have some reading to do and some questions to ask of those more experienced. I pulled down the cornstalks yesterday to let more sun in on the tomatoes and potatoes. We shall see if we get some more produce there.
