The 5th graders had band for the first time this week...and our boy was excited. He had decided last year that he wanted to play the trumpet. We will now begin looking to buy a trumpet at some point.
This week's goal...to practice blowing and getting sound out of the instrument. Should you drive slowly by our home...it sounds like an elephant with a very bad cold lives here. Sometimes it hits the nerves just wrong...other times...it brings on uncontrollable giggles.
Alisa picked up the clarinet again...and I've only heard one squawk! Looks like this bug has bitten...and we will be looking to buy a clarinet.
(These rental agreements are not for the frugally minded!) We are looking forward to musical harmony soon...in the form of duets and trios. We want our kiddos to develop these talents to use to serve the Lord...a priceless blessing and treasure!
